Calgary, AB – Sandler in Calgary is please to announce the recipients of its Not-for-Profit and Unapologetic Saleswoman Scholarships in-Kind for 2021/22.
Due to the unprecedented affects COVID-19 has had on not-for-profits, Sandler in Calgary is awarding a scholarship in-kind to two organizations this year, Pacekids Programs and the Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce.
“Not-for-profits have been hit incredibly hard by COVID-19 lockdowns so we felt it was important to offer a second scholarship in-kind for the 2021/22 year,” said Hamish Knox, President of Sandler in Calgary. “My team and I are excited to support Pacekids Programs and the Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce over the next 12 months and, hopefully, beyond.”
Both recipients receive 12 months of training in Sandler in Calgary’s sales and leadership development groups as well as access to Sandler’s award winning learning management system and private coaching.
Previous recipients of Sandler in Calgary’s not-for-profit scholarship in-kind include Kinetica Ventures, the Calgary Zoological Society, Calgary Telus Convention Centre, the Better Business Bureau Serving Southern Alberta and East Kootenays, and the Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured (ARBI) whose Executive Director, Luanne Whitmarsh was a guest on Sandler’s How to Succeed podcast on March 1.
The Unapologetic Saleswoman Scholarship in-kind for a woman in a sales role was awarded to, Jana Hackman from Axia and, for the first time, two Unapologetic Saleswoman Scholarships in-kind to women in leadership roles were awarded to Katherine Ryan from Mikata Health and Natasha Spokes from FarCloser Travel and Creative Destruction Lab.
“We’re excited to support, Jana, Katherine and Natasha in their professional and personal development over the next year,” said Knox. “We had a large number of incredible nominations for women in leadership roles so we chose to award a second scholarship in-kind for that group.”
Jana will receive 12 months of training in Sandler in Calgary’s sales development group and both Katherine and Natasha will receive 12 months of training in Sandler in Calgary’s leadership development group. All will receive access to Sandler’s award winning learning management system and private coaching.
Previous winners of the Unapologetic Saleswoman Scholarship in-kind include Brittany Carlson from West Canadian Digital and Chelsea O’Connor from SFC Energy Canada.
